AD-HOC TASK FORCE FOR HIP ENVELOPE WINDOWS AND DOORS

Several members may request to keep their existing doors and windows instead of having them replaced during the Homes Improvement Program. GHI’s Board of Directors therefore establishes an ‘Ad Hoc Task Force on Existing Doors and Windows’ to review such requests and decide whether those members should be exempted from having their doors and windows replaced during the HIP.

Major Activities:

The H.I.P. Director shall first determine whether particular windows and /or doors that members wish to keep, meet requirements previously approved by the Board of Directors.  If a member is not satisfied with the H.I.P. Director’s determination, then the following steps are initiated:

  • The Task Force receives the specific window/door exemption request directly from the H.I.P. Director.
  • The Task Force shall decide whether the member may be exempted from installation of new windows and/or doors during the H.I.P.
  • Member, if dissatisfied with Task Force decision, may appel to Board of Directors for exception, as provided in regular GHI rules.
