Journeyman Plumber:

Performs general maintenance of a heating, plumbing, electrical and structural nature; follows instructions contained in maintenance requests, work orders and verbal instructions. Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures and accessories such as faucets, traps, outlets, flush valves, hose bibs, lavatories, commodes, flush tanks, hot and cold water supply lines, building supply valves and lines and other piping within buildings and crawl spaces.

 

Grounds Worker:

Maintains common area grounds by mowing, edging, trimming, watering, re-seeding, de-thatching and aerating soil. Assists with crawl space inspections and crawl vent replacements. Removes and disposes of litter, broken branches, leaves and other debris from common area grounds, parking lots and sidewalks. Removes litter from woodland areas

 

Executive Assistant:

Handles a wide range of administrative and communication tasks in support of GHI strategies and goals.  Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the Management Office and all stakeholders such as the Board of Directors, staff, coop members etc. Prepares general correspondence, memoranda, charts, tables, graphs, spreadsheets,  proposals, and substantive reports for various matters.

 

Master Electrician:

Trouble-shoots electrical malfunctions to determine cause of failure by using electrical testing instruments, meters, gauges, etc.; then makes such repairs or adjustments to correct the malfunction.

Repairs or replaces fixtures, switches, relays, circuit breakers, fuse panels, wiring, motors, automatic equipment, time clocks, electronic controls, exhaust fans, electric baseboard heaters, thermostats, ceiling heaters, etc. Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on boilers and HVAC equipment (including air conditioners, heat pumps and furnaces).  Advise supervisor when repairs are outside GHI’s in-house capabilities.
